A longtime member of The Jazz Pharaohs, Freddie Mendoza has charmed crowds with his spirited trombone playing and his debonair vocal style. He appeared at The North Sea and Montreaux Festivals in Europe. Freddie has recently performed on the movie sountrack for the 20th Century Fox feature "The Newton Boys" on Sony Records. He has received "Best Trombone" and "Best Arranger" from the Clarksville Jazz Festival's Artist/Critic Poll for the last three years. Freddie obtained a Bachelor of Music from the University of Texas and then a Master's Degree in Music from Southwest Texas University. He is currently working with National Touring Acts, The Jazz Pharaohs and The Lucky Strikes.
